Dammig och månlik i söder, grön och bergig i norr - Teneriffa är en kontinent på en enda ö. Föreställ dig pittoreska byar, fantastiska landskap och en lokal lunch under den här heldagsupplevelsen. Arianne, en av våra kunniga lokalguider, berättar: "Kanariska bananer är mindre men tjockare, och skalet har mörka fläckar. Fruktköttet är gulare och bananerna bör ätas mogna, vilket gör dem sötare.

Först ut är ett besök på en aloe vera-plantage. Här kommer du att lära dig om dess helande egenskaper – med fokus på hudvård. Sedan bär det av till La Laguna, utan tvekan den vackraste staden på ön och ett av Unescos världsarv. Ett guldkorn som du inte får missa. Vandra nerför stadens raka gator med pastellfärgade byggnader och historiska herrgårdar eller stanna till för en kaffe på ett av de trädkantade torgen. Smaka på lokala produkter som marmelad och ost på veckomarknaden och beundra stadens berömda blomsterutställningar.

Sedan bär det vidare till en rustik, familjeägd vingård för en typisk kanarisk lunch omgiven av årgångsflaskor och lagrade fat. Alla ingredienser är säsongsbetonade och närproducerade för att minska negativ miljöpåverkan. Och självklart kommer några av bodegas viner att serveras till maten.

On this tour, you'll journey through the south and get to know the island's culture and identity. But, when a ship captain called Pedro de Bracamonte visited, he spotted a beautiful Guanche girl and shouted Vi la flor de Chasna, which means I've seen the flower of Chasna – after this, the village got its name.”The dry climate and year-round sunshine in the Canaries mean that aloe vera thrives here, even though it is not a native species – it originally came from the Arabian Peninsula. You'll take a guided tour of the plantation, and the owners will share their knowledge about the curative powers of this well-known plant, which is used for medicinal purposes in cultures throughout history.Next, you'll visit Vilaflor.
