Samariaravinen – utflykt

The guide (Katarina) was excellent, provided expert knowledge of the gorge and provided good timings for the day so you got to fully enjoy the gorge and make it to the end for the last ferry.

More information might help some people on the fitness level required. The ground to navigate with the stones and boulders was a lot harder than I had realised. Be prepared for muscle ache in the legs for 2 to 3 days afterwards. Overall the hike was enjoyable and rewarding.

We have rated this trip 0 as we had to cancel on the morning of the trip as our daughter had become ill over night. We were advised that we would lose the total cost of the trip even though it is advised that all trip members must be fit to walk 8 hours. We had no way of knowing 24 hours before that she would be ill. We requested that we might change to Wednesday as we had paid over £200 for services not rendered. We were told no- perhaps we should have gone and our daughter faint in the gorge.

I was at the pick up point at 4.45, the pick up time was 4.55, it was at the wishing well in Piskopiano right near our hotel Casa Blu, the coach did not turn up I waited there until till 5.30 is there another wishing well in this area? It should be made clear which one it is! My phone number was given when I booked but no one contacted me to see where I was! I’d like the full cost of this trip refunded. This is very disappointing as this was a birthday treat for me

Actual Gorge was amazing. Lack of Tui guide _ Sylvie was very poor . something about a taxi not turning up. Then at end when I had to meet her to get my boat ticket at a taverna I had expected her to be somewhere we could find her especially as she hadn't been with us in morning but no she was upstairs in taverna eating her dinner_ like I would have known that . Gorge was amazing but I would say pretty demanding . I was on my own and had expected to see more tourists walking it .Good rangers
