A camel ride followed by a barbecue in Agadir is a typical Moroccan experience. This adventure provides an engaging immersion into local culture and a delightful exploration of the surrounding landscapes.

Your escapade begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Agadir, followed by a brief journey to a ranch situated just outside the city. Upon arrival, a welcoming team will introduce you to your camels. After receiving safety instructions and learning about camel handling, you'll be all set for your ride.

Camels, iconic creatures of the Moroccan desert, will transport you through diverse and scenic landscapes; from sandy trails and eucalyptus forests to arid regions and gentle sand dunes. The pace is relaxed, allowing you to appreciate the natural surroundings while being soothed by the rhythmic sway of the camel. You'll have the chance to explore palm groves and perhaps spot nearby Berber villages.

Following the camel ride, you'll return to the ranch for a barbecue. A mouthwatering good meal awaits, typically featuring grilled meat (beef, chicken or even turkey), accompanied by fresh Moroccan salads, traditional bread and sauces. All served in a convivial and warm atmosphere. You will also be able to enjoy a Moroccan mint tea to complete this festive meal.

You'll have some free time to relax and take in your dramatic surroundings before we return to Agadir through a different route in the mountains.

You'll travel from Agadir to see some of the city's highlights, experience Djemaa el-Fna by night, dine in an opulent riad and check out the seaside city of Essaouira on your way back. Now, when I return, I'm filled with nostalgia as I tour the alleys where I used to play football with my Arab and Jewish friends. Essaouira has always been a multicultural melting pot.'On day one, we'll hit the road to Marrakech, where on arrival you'll delve straight into the medina's warren of tightly-packed streets. Spend the morning taking in sights as we drop by places like Jardin Secret, before lunch at Dar Nejarine. After some free time to explore, we'll head to Djemaa el-Fna at dusk – the best time to see it – before a tasty dinner and traditional entertainment in a riad.On day two we'll head to the coastal city of Essaouira. There's no more Moroccan way to go sightseeing than on the back of a camel. And with this 90-minute ride, you'll be at one with nature as well. You'll be transferred to the north of Agadir where you'll enjoy a slow and steady journey through a banana plantation and one of the city's most picture-postcard beaches. We'll head to a ranch around an hours drive from Agadir to start, where you'll be partnered with a camel between two people. Then, the adventure begins. The camel trail takes you through trails sprinkled with exotic landscapes and sandy dunes. It's a route the whole family will enjoy.Over the 90-minute trip, you'll enjoy a privileged view over the countryside, passing through a banana plantation, as well as have the chance to spot wildlife in its natural surroundings. You'll also enjoy the scenic vistas surrounding Tamri Beach, and as you trundle along, they'll be a quick stop for selfie or two before we head back.

Soar throught the skies on a cable car ride from Agadir's Marina up to the historic Casbah of Agadir Oufella, where panoramic views of the bay and city await. If you want an experience that'll get the adrenaline pumping through your veins, then this thrilling buggy adventure is for you. You'll be able to admire the coastal and rural landscape just outside of Agadir, but in a way that you won't forget. After a quick introduction to buggy handling and a safety briefing from your guide, you'll be ready for the off. Hop into your two-seater buggy and set off into the countryside leaving just a cloud of dust behind you. You'll have fun speeding along country tracks and testing your off-road driving skills.We'll stop at a mid-way point and take a break in a local house for some traditional sweet Moroccan tea and homemade bread. And after recharging your batteries, it's time for the second half of your buggy adventure as we head back to the starting point. Discover Agadir City Tour

Dip your toe into Agadir's history and culture, with a half-day tour to all its hotspots. Visit a traditional kasbah, take a stroll along the port and round and get your bearings with free time in the town.First up is a visit to the kasbah of Agadir Oufella. Built in 1541 as a fortress, the ruins stand on a hill out of town and offer sweeping views over the harbour, beach and city. Next, we'll drive through the port area, where you can catch sight of the fishermen offloading their catch of the day. Then, it's on to the new town and the main streets of Agadir where you can take some snaps outside Mohamed V Mosque.We'll then slow down the pace with a guided visit and free time at the main market, Souk El Had. Haggling with stallholders for spices, crafts, furnishings and more isn't just part of the experience – it's expected. Or why not sip on a mint tea as you watch the world around you.
