Att göra – Pratern i Wien
Pratern, som ligger i hjärtat av staden, är Wiens största offentliga park och är också hem för en av de äldsta nöjesparkerna i världen. Parken är populär bland både lokalbefolkningen och turisterna och är någonstans för både underhållning och avkoppling.
Parken, som tidigare användes som jaktmark, öppnades för allmänheten 1766 med inrättandet av kaféer och kaféer. Nu med cirka 250 sevärdheter och med över 60 restauranger och kaféer är Prater ett utmärkt sätt att tillbringa en dag ute.
Besök nöjesparken Wurstelprater och åk på några av de spännande åkattraktionerna och attraktionerna med go-karts, berg-och dalbanor, spöktåg och karuseller. Här hittar du också det berömda pariserhjulet, en av de mest populära attraktionerna i Wien. Ett måste för alla som besöker för första gången, en åktur på pariserhjulet erbjuder underbar utsikt över parken och staden.
Alldeles intill nöjesparkområdet hittar du ett vackert grönt område, känt som Gröna Pratern, som har vackra avenyer, ett skogs- och ängsområde. Ta en promenad i det vidsträckta gröna området, njut av en picknick, åk på en cykeltur eller åk på Lilliputbahn Wien, ett miniaturtåg som går genom parken.
Ät en måltid i en av parkerna, där finns många restauranger och passa på att prova traditionella wienrätter eller besök det välkända vaxmuseet Madame Tussauds. Parken har också ett chokladmuseum, en nattklubb, ett planetarium, lekplatser och mycket mer!
Pratern har bra förbindelser med kollektivtrafik, Praterstern-stationen ligger vid ingången till parken och trafikeras av tunnelbana, järnväg, buss och spårvagnslinjer.

“It would have been helpful to make the experience more relevant to TUI, for instance being informed that the pick up point for the bus a was 3 min walk from the boat NOT the city centre wasting a lot of time, Queuing and boarding was very disorganised, both in the city centre for the main bus and the road train tour of the palace grounds. The bus itself was clean and the tour commentary was clear and informative, but overall a lot of room for improvement of the experience.”
