Den kejserliga skattkammaren i Hofburg är en av de viktigaste sevärdheterna i Wien. Den visar delar av de tidigare samlingarna i huset Habsburg-Lothringen med den högsta dynastiska eller religiösa betydelse, såsom kronan av det heliga romerska riket och den österrikiska kejserliga kronan. På utställningen finns även legendariska skatter som en gigantisk narvals tand som ansågs vara en enhörning och en antik agat skål kopplad till den heliga graalen.
Den kejserliga skattkammaren är uppdelad i två samlingar, den sekulära och den kyrkliga skattkammaren. Den sekulära skattkammaren inrymmer insignier och juveler av det heliga romerska riket, inklusive den kejserliga kronan och den heliga lansen. Det kyrkliga finansdepartementet visar föremål från den medeltida kulten av reliker, från habsburgska katolicismen vid tiden för motreformationen och från österrikiska folktron. Denna unika kollektion gör den kejserliga skattkammaren i Wien till den viktigaste skattkammaren i världen.

“It would have been helpful to make the experience more relevant to TUI, for instance being informed that the pick up point for the bus a was 3 min walk from the boat NOT the city centre wasting a lot of time, Queuing and boarding was very disorganised, both in the city centre for the main bus and the road train tour of the palace grounds. The bus itself was clean and the tour commentary was clear and informative, but overall a lot of room for improvement of the experience.”
“The bus had no air conditioning. The audio was playing music most of the time rather than pointing out the landmarks There is little of interest outside of the old town so it would be cheaper to take a metro into the town and nack”
