Att göra – Gizas pyramider & den stora sfinxen
När du tänker på Egypten, vad tänker du på först? Det är svårt att föreställa sig något annat än den häpnadsväckande omfattningen av pyramiderna i Giza och den monumentala stora sfinxen i Giza. Dessa arkeologiska underverk finns vid Giza-pyramidkomplexet, även känt som Giza Necropolis eller Gizaplatån, cirka 13 km sydväst om Kairo. De finns med på Unescos världsarvslista sedan 1979, pyramiderna i Giza och den stora sfinxen drar regelbundet in miljontals nyfikna turister från hela världen.
Egyptens pyramider i Giza består av tre massiva pyramider, Menkaure-pyramiden, Khafre-pyramiden och Khufu-pyramiden, den sista kallas också vanligtvis för den stora pyramiden i Giza för sin enorma höjd. Alla byggdes mödosamt under den fjärde dynastin i det antika Egypten för de styrande faraonerna vid den tiden, därav deras namn. Ingen vet med säkerhet exakt hur de byggdes, men en sak är säker: pyramiderna i Giza fortsätter att troget bevara Egyptens äkta väsen.
En slöja av mystik omger också den höga sfinxen i Giza som vaktar över gravarna på östra sidan av Gizas pyramidkomplex. Den världsberömda kalkstensstatyn av en liggande sfinx är en av de äldsta, största och mest igenkännliga skulpturerna i världen. De flesta tror att skulpturens huvud är modellerat efter den egyptiske faraon Khafre, även om näsan därefter förstördes av okänd anledning. Ändå är den stora sfinxen fortfarande ett magnifikt emblem för Egypten.

“11 mars 2024 Resan är oorganiserad och guiden var okunnig och berättade lite historia men inte som man förväntar sig. Vi blev hämtad kl01:30 stannade för frukost och kaffepaus vid 04:00 sen vi åt lunch vid 14:30. Vi var jättehungrig och trötta. Sista åkte vi till museet, Guiden köpte 24 biljetter och vi var 25 personer. Vi fick trasiga hörlurar och tyvärr hör vi ingenting..... Resan är inte rekommenderat”
