Rotterdams saluhall är den första täckta marknaden i Nederländerna och kombinerar en välsmakande shoppingupplevelse i en unik byggnad. Denna ikoniska färskmarknad har 100 färskvarusäljare, 15 matbutiker och 8 restauranger. Förpackad med matboder som säljs fyllda med färsk fisk och kött, grönsaker och ostar till bröd och godis kan du verkligen hitta allt på ett ställe.
Beläget under Markthals 40 meter höga välvda struktur är taket mot golvet dekorerat med det största konstverket i Nederländerna. Skapad av konstnären Arno Coenen, "Plenty's Horn" visar digitalt förstorade bilder av mat, blommor och insekter formade efter stilleben-målningarna från 1600-talet.
När du besöker Markthal, se till att du också letar efter de många medeltida föremålen, nära rulltrapporna och på parkeringen, som grävdes ut under byggnationen.
Marknadsstånden är öppna från måndag till torsdag och lördag från kkl.10.00–20.00. På fredagar kl.10.00–21.00 och söndag kl. 12.00–18.00. Besöker du med bil? Du kan parkera i garaget som ligger direkt under byggnaden.
