Beläget vid foten av fästningen Alcazaba, är den romerska teatern i Malaga ett av de äldsta monumenten i staden, byggd tidigt i det första århundradet f.Kr. av kejsaren Augustus. Under århundraden förblev denna historiska plats gömd under gatorna och hus och återupptäcktes 1951. För närvarande är teatern ett av de största turistattraktionerna i staden och viktigt minne av den romerska närvaron i området.
