Att göra – Kensington Palace
Tidigare tillhörde palatset Charles och Diana, idag är det William och Kates residens. Kensington Palace har varit ett av de brittiska kungliga bostäderna sedan 1600-talet. Byggd i kungliga stadsdelen Kensington och Chelsea i London och ursprungligen känd som Nottingham House, köptes byggnaden av kung William III 1689 för att undkomma de fuktiga och gråa rummen i Whitehall Palace, domstolens officiella residens vid den tiden.
Kensington Palace utvidgades senare av Sir Christopher Wren, arkitekten känd för sin roll i återuppbyggnaden av London efter den stora branden 1666. Residensen uppskattades av andra monarker och har renoverats flera gånger, vilket gör Kensington Palace till juvelen som kan ses i dag. Faktum är att flera delar av byggnaden är öppna för allmänheten.
