Oasis Wildlife is thuis voor heel veel vogels, reptielen en Afrikaanse dieren. En de omgeving is zó gemaakt dat het hier op hun natuurlijke habitat lijkt. Het dierenpark heeft een succesvol geboorteprogramma, recent zijn hier babygiraffen, -zeeleeuwen en -nijlpaarden ter wereld gekomen.

Bekijk alle dieren van dichtbij tijdens de shows met zeeleeuwen, reptielen en roofvogels. Tussen de shows door kom je oog in oog te staan met giraffen op het uitkijkplatform, lach je om de grimassen van de apen, bewonder je de olifanten en maak je foto's van meerkatten, otters, zebra's, nijlpaarden en allerlei andere nieuwsgierige dieren. De lijst is eindeloos.

Er is ook een optionele kameeltocht van 25 minuten beschikbaar, die voor een vleugje avontuur en plezier zorgt. En er is een educatieve activiteit over lemuren van 20 minuten, waarbij je alles te weten komt over deze prachtige, bedreigde primaten. En als je even wil afkoelen, ga dan naar de Sabana Splash speeltuin.

Let er bij het boeken op dat je de juiste leeftijden selecteert. Als je een ticket met korting selecteert voor senioren (60+), kinderen (4-11 jaar) of baby's (0-3 jaar gratis), moet je ook de leeftijd aantonen aan de hand van een identiteitsbewijs met foto. Als de leeftijd niet klopt, moet je in het park een nieuw ticket kopen om toegang te krijgen
Als je in het resort bent aangekomen, moet je de transfer vooraf betalen voordat je in de bus naar het park stapt. Dat doe je met een QR-code en een kaartbetaling. De QR-code vind je op een poster bij de receptie. Nadat je betaald hebt, krijg je een voucher en een link met gegevens over de pick-up tijden en locaties op het eiland. Je moet dit ticket in de bus scannen met je telefoon. De retourtransfer kost EUR 9,50 per persoon vanuit resorts in het noorden van het eiland en EUR 6,50 per persoon vanuit resorts in het zuiden, voor personen van 4 jaar en ouder (0-3 jaar gratis)
Kinderen jonger dan 3 jaar en zwangere vrouwen mogen geen kamelenrit maken. Maximum gewicht voor de kamelenrit is 120 kilo per persoon. Kinderen kunnen tijdens de rit niet op schoot bij hun ouders zitten
Laat bij aankomst in het park je prepaid ticket zien aan de kassa om het in te wisselen voor het officiële entreeticket
Korting is alleen beschikbaar bij het boeken voor baby's jonger dan 3 jaar, kinderen van 4 tot 11 jaar en 60-plussers

A great experience, absolutely stunning views, great team that worked there. Getting to feed the animals and only having to pay for the food and not the experience was a bonus! Would recommend to anyone going!

My 10 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our day here! My son especially enjoyed being so close to the animals and the highlight was feeding the giraffes! Animals look well loved and enclosures are in great condition. The talks during the day were amazing. Weather was so hot but plenty of shady areas and seating around the park. Be prepared to get your steps in but well worth it. The splash park advertised is really only suitable for quite young children as is the playground. Amazing day!

I loved seeing all animals and the fact they are being loved & cared about is fantastic. The only downside is that the bus pickings us up turn up 1.5 hr late & there was no information why & if is coming or not. We had to ring oasis park ourselves to find out what is happening.

We had a wonderful day. it was me and my husband and are 5 year old. lots of animals to see. we loved the fact you can feed selected animals for a small fee. you can get very close to a lot of the animals. we loved the children's play park and splash park area was lovely to cool off for a hour or so. We didn't have any food or drink as we took our own but the price of it all seemed reasonable. Would recommend to anyone thinking of going.

Everything that makes the western highlands of Fuerteventura special comes together on this walking tour. Your guide will lead you through one of the island's greenest areas and barren landscapes with a Wild West feel, all the way to the fishing village of Ajuy – and there's a few hidden surprises on this well-known route. Fernando, one of our insider guides, says ‘Every year, on the third Saturday of September, thousands of islanders dressed in traditional Canarian costume pilgrimage through the gorge to worship Fuerteventura's patron saint.'Discover off the beaten track parts of Fuerteventura as you embark on foot, crisscrossing valleys from the hamlet of Vega de Rio Palmas to the hermitage of Las Peñitas. There'll be plenty of photo stops and the chance to rest in the shade under one of the many date trees which dot the route. Thanks to the surrounding sea of green vegetation and otherworldly rock formations, locals refer to the area as the ‘Oasis of Fuerteventura'. Film fans, though, can spot it in one of the scenes from the Marvel movie, The Eternals.Continue the trail along a gorge towards the coast and we'll reach the wave washed Ajuy. This remote village is famed for its sea caves, which you'll get time to explore along with its black volcanic beaches. Stroll along the shore at El Jurado and treat your feet to a dip in the refreshing water of the Atlantic. We'll tuck into a well-deserved picnic before heading back.

Fuerteventura island tour with goat farm visit

If you fancy a taste of the authentic Fuerteventura, then this day out is for you. Pretty villages, smugglers' caves and beautiful scenery are all on the menu, along with an aloe vera plantation. To top it off, you'll get to sample some of the island's best delicacies at a goat farm. Yurena, one of our local guides, says, "We're very proud of our majorero goat cheese, it's a staple in our kitchens. Learn how it's pressed with woven palm leaves and rubbed with paprika or gofio flour for flavour."Kick off at the aloe vera plantation and learn all about its reputed health benefits. Then discover the village of Pajara, famed for its unusual church façade and its wooden balconies. Fran says, "The inspiration behind the parish church's Aztec-themed portico remains a mystery. Just above the door, you'll see symbols of suns, serpents, lions and doves. And if you stop and take a closer look, you'll find many more."Plus, there's free time in Ajuy, a fishing village that meets the ocean at a black volcanic sand beach. There's a lovely, scenic walk on chalk cliffs to limestone caves where smugglers once hid their contraband. Nestled in a valley dotted with palm trees is Betancuria, the island's first capital. Here, you'll have free time to explore the cobbled streets and its church – the oldest in the Canaries. After lunch in a family-run restaurant in Valle de Santa Ines, there's a visit to a farm. Sample majorero goat cheese, jams and other local specialities. A tasty way to round off the day.

El Cotillo sunset 4x4 safari in Fuerteventura with Bayuyo Volcano

This exclusive off-road experience takes you through northern Fuerteventura's volcanic landscapes to wave-washed fishing villages. And to top it all, your evening is rounded off with the chance to see an epic sunset. What's more, you'll do it in a small group of no more than 16 guests. Juan Carlos, one of our local guides, says, ‘Right from the go, it's a full-throttle adventure as you rumble through the Bayuyo badlands. With their scorched earth, dusty trails and volcanoes, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were on Mars.'We'll hook inland to the Bayuyo volcanic zone, zooming down dirt tracks and past craters on lava-scarred fields. There's a photo stop at the Bayuyo volcano itself, where with a bit of luck you might meet the friendly local chipmunks. ‘Bring some nuts,' advises Juan Carlos. We'll then make a beeline for Majanicho, a ramshackle hamlet huddled in a sheltered cove. From here, we'll follow the coastline on sandy trails until reaching the fishing village of El Cotillo. The waves have made it something of a mecca for surfers.Unlike the coastlines to its north and south, El Cotillo beach is black volcanic sand. You'll get to visit the three-in-one lighthouse and the Toston tower for some snaps. There's also free time to grab a bite to eat or poke around the village. It's then on to a viewpoint to watch the sun sink into the Atlantic while you sip on a chilled cava. Then drive back under the star-lit sky is the icing on the cake.

Private sunset safari tour to El Cotillo with Bayuyo Volcano

This exclusive off-road experience takes you through northern Fuerteventura's pockmarked volcanic landscapes to remote beaches and the fishing village of El Cotillo. On this private tour it's just you, your family or friends, plus the guide, so take it at your own pace. Juan Carlos, one of our local guides, says, ‘You can see a string of volcanic craters behind Corralejo. You visit the largest, Bayuyo, on this safari. The last eruption was about 10,000 years ago, spreading lava and ash across the north of the island, and it actually expanded the island by around 100 square kilometres.'You'll be whisked down rural trails and past lava fields as we zoom through Fuerteventura's scarred landscapes. Stopping at Bayuyo's scorched flanks, you'll get to see the crater up close. Juan Carlos adds, ‘A scurry of chipmunks is often waiting there to see if anyone has brought them a snack. They love nuts.' From here, you'll traverse arid terrain in your 4x4 until you reach the beachside hamlet of Majanicho on the northwest coast.Next, you'll follow sandy tracks parallel to the coastline until the splendid beaches and lagoons of El Cotillo come into view. Enjoy some free time in El Cotillo and the chance to grab some dinner. There's a great variety of eateries, so take your pick – tasty tapas in a typical Canarian bar, fresh fish straight to your plate. Stroll to the harbour or enjoy the view from Tostón castle while the sun sinks slowly into the ocean.

Cofete sunset 4x4 safari in Punta de Jandia

The volcanic landscapes of Fuerteventura's mountainous interior are scaled from the seemingly endless coastline is this late afternoon off-road safari to Cofete. Juan Carlos, one of our local guides, says, "Cofete was so removed from civilisation that it spawned a wartime spy mystery – and countless novels – centred on the enigmatic Villa Winter. Was it a transmission centre for U-boats? A hideout for secret agents? A ratline staging post? A venue for hedonistic parties? The legend only grows with each passing year."You'll first head into Fuerteventura's central mountains, where cloud-wreathed slopes plunge down to endless, deserted beaches. The most eye-catching is Cofete beach, which clocks in at almost 14km. The spray from waves creates an almost ever-present haze over the shoreline. Heading off-road onto hairpin tracks, you'll bump around the Mars-like landscapes around Pico de la Zarza, one of the island's highest volcanic peaks. Here, you'll enjoy panoramic views over the buffeted west coast before dropping down to Cofete, a ramshackle hamlet.This mostly abandoned village is home to the mysterious Villa Winter, which is rumoured to have been a Nazi hideout after World War II. Next, it's off to Punta de Jandia at Fuerteventura's southern tip. Hopefully, you can enjoy a sunset over the lighthouse and Atlantic, before a snack and glass of wine at one of the few restaurants found in this remote part of the island. You'll then wind your way back to your hotel under the starlit sky.
