Isla de Lobos, die Insel der Wölfe, ist so abgelegen und wild, wie eine Insel nur sein kann und Ihr Tagesziel auf dieser erholsamen Bootsfahrt. Auf der Insel haben Sie Zeit zum Schwimmen und Entspannen. Halten Sie während der Fahrt von und nach Lanzarote Ausschau nach Delfinen, fliegenden Fischen und Walen.

Sie stechen von Puerto del Carmen aus in See und sehen Lobos schon in der Ferne. Nach etwa anderthalb Stunden auf See, in denen Sie das Meer nach Anzeichen von Delfin- und Walaktivitäten absuchen, kommen Sie an der idyllischen Küste der Insel an. Weiße Sandbänke schimmern im klaren Meer und laden zum Schwimmen und zur Erkundung dieses geschützten Naturgebiets ein.

Sie können über die Insel wandern oder am Strand bleiben und so viel oder so wenig tun, wie Sie möchten. Nach etwa zwei Stunden gehen Sie wieder an Bord des Jetbootes und fahren zurück nach Lanzarote - halten Sie dabei Ausschau nach fliegenden Fischen, die oft ein faszinierendes Spektakel veranstalten.

Clearer information on who the trip is suitable and not suitable for before booking would be useful. My friend found it hard as she walks with a stick but nothing was mentioned before booking.

The trip was fab but there were no toilets available on the island as they were all blocked up. I know this is no fault of TUI but it does need mentioning as we had 2 and a half hours on the island.

We were fortunate enough to see a large family of dolphins on our way to the island. It was a privilege to see them in their natural environment and they seemed to put on a real display. Island itself was lovely and really interesting. Well looked after by the crew on a bit of a choppy return trip back to Lanzarote. Thank you.

Overall a great day and felt we like had just the right amount of time on the island. Only downside was the toilets on the island had been blocked so only 1 woman’s toilet was available which wasn’t great at all. Think overall the trip was great and loved seeing the dolphins

The only thing is it wasn't long enough on the island to see most of what was offered. You had to make a choice by the time we looked at the village, we didn't have time for the walk to the volcano and a dip in the sea otherwise it was fabulous. the guys on the boat were amazing and made it fun.

Lobos Island is interesting. We have liked maybe an extra 30 minutes on Lobos Island to explore it more thoroughly - it was a rush to walk to the Lighthouse at the far end of the island and back which didn't leave time to explore the village.

You'll sample one-of-a-kind local wines from La Geria, a unique wine-growing region created after the Timanfaya volcanic eruptions 300 years ago. Next up is the Salinas de Janubio salt flats where traditional methods are still in use. Seawater enters shallow basins, evaporates under the sun, and workers harvest the salt manually. These salt flats are a haven for migratory and coastal bird species.Thanks to its otherworldly natural landscape, Lanzarote was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1993. And the star of the show here is undoubtedly Timanfaya National Park. Northern Lanzarote tour with Green Caves and Jameos del Agua

Larger-than-life Lanzarote legend Cesar Manrique left his imprint all over the island, but nowhere more so than the north. The architect was inspired by the region's extraordinary geology. This tour takes in three of his works – the Green Caves, Jameos del Agua and Mirador del Rio. David, one of our local guides, says, ‘The north of the island was a canvas for Manrique's palette. As he used to say, “the north is still the traditional Lanzarote.”First up are the Green Caves, where a maze of galleries and stairways lead you to a natural auditorium. These caverns – 16 have been discovered so far – are air bubbles that are linked by a tunnel created by the lava flow from a volcanic eruption. Manrique was instrumental in adapting the cave system for visitors. His influence is even more pronounced in the Jameos del Agua. Here, he harmonised this roofless volcanic cave, adding rock gardens and a glassy lake, filled with blind, white crabs found only in Lanzarote.Also on the agenda is Mirador del Rio, one of Manrique's most sci-fi creations. Not only does this viewpoint blend in seamlessly with its surroundings atop a 470m cliff, but it boasts wow-factor vistas across to the island of La Graciosa. Next, you'll head to Haria, an oasis of green known as the “Valley of a Thousand Palms,” scattered with whitewashed houses and surrounded by peaks. Here, you'll sit down for a lunch made from locally sourced ingredients in a typical Canarian house.

Your final stop of the tour will be at LagOmar, a stunning spot that seamlessly combines nature and art. This unique place is set in a volcanic quarry and includes features like a cave-bar, restaurant, and a museum. He converted them into a nightclub in the 60s. The stage is still in use, but the stars nowadays are the rare white crabs in a saltwater pond. Next, we'll cut through dramatic volcanic landscapes to the Mirador del Rio – another Manrique masterpiece. At almost 500 metres above sea level, it offers unbeatable views over the island of La Graciosa and its volcanoes.After calling in at an Aloe Vera producer to learn the secrets of this versatile plant, you'll pass through a string of pretty villages en route to Teguise. As the former capital of the island, this history-steeped village boasts a number of eye-catching palaces, convents, chapels and churches – all within walking distance of each other.
